Volvo
Volvo is manufactured by a Swedish automobile manufacturing company. The first of these cars were manufactured way back in the year 1927. This was the first car made by Volvo left the factory in Gothenberg. It was called OV4 or Jakob.
The 1920s was the time when people in Europe and the US began to look at cars in a different way and they were certainly interested in them. The Volvo was based on top notch quality and precision in the cars that came out of its manufacturing unit. The PV36 was supposed to be a luxury model of a car. Later on came the PV60. This was a far more larger and American kind of car from the makers of Volvo.
Then, came the small car called PV444 from Volvo. This was a car that was a cross between the American design and the size of a car that was prevalent in Europe.
Over the years there have been several different cars but the best of the Volvo car models was launched in the year 1966. This was called Volvo 144. This was a car that had the highest levels of safety in it. All the features that were to be found within the Volvo 144 were of the highest possible level. The brakes, the seating, the steering column, the lock system and the two brake circuit all of these are a one of a kind of feature in this car. Attention was given to the most minutest of details right from the locks on the doors to the front and rear seats. The success seen by the Volvo 144 spurred on the manufacturers to come up with the Volvo 145. This was a car that was made on the already existing models of Volvo cars. There were a few changes made to it such as the tailgate was made out of one piece completely and the hinges were located on the roof.
The Volvo had three major models running which were Volvo 134, Amzon 221 and P210 Duett. The year 1970 saw the best of Volvo cars launched and this was the Volvo 164 E. the engine in this Volvo was electronic fuel injection and could produce 175 hp. Then the P1800 came about in the year 1971. This new model was called the P1800 ES. There were two models in the Volvo by the time 1975, the Volvo 240 and the Volvo 260.
The Volvo PV650 Series have come a long way. The Volvo cars are predominantly divided into two major platforms that is small cars and large ones. In the realm of the small cars there is the Volvo C30, C70, S40 and V50. In the realm of large cars there is the Volvo S60, S80, V70, XC60 and XC 70.
