Toyota continues to remain one of the most renowned and popular of Japanese brands ever. The buyer knows that when they buy a car from this manufacturer what they get for themselves is great durability that is unsurpassed and reliability as well. The buyers do not mind shelling out extra in order to be able to get these kinds of features and customer satisfaction their way. If you are the kind of car owner who is going to have their car for a long time, then one of the cars from Toyota is the best.
The founder of this manufacturing company Kichiro Toyoda built the very first car after years of research. The prototype of the A1 that was made by Toyota in the year 1935 was the stepping stone for the company.
During the 1940s, there were several more cars that were unveiled by the company. These were in the realm of passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Within a short span of time, the company had already gone on to manufacture 100,000 cars.
The 1950s saw it increasing its reach to the customer and more smaller and compact cars being rolled out. This was that point of time when Toyota set its foot in the US market. The very first car that Toyota launched in the market was the Crown. The Crown was the first ever car that was of Japanese make and was sold in the US.
Then in the 1960s there was much more growth in store for Toyota. This was not only the time when Toyota sold more cars but when the Corolla was introduced in the market. Right from the word go, the Corolla was one extremely impressive car. Its owners loved everything about it and people were gushing when then spoke about the Corolla. The decade closed on a real wonderful note for the company as they were able to keep up with the manufacturing of the cars and sell it as well. Their sales figures had reached the one million threshold.
Other toyota cars that were doing well in the Japanese markets were launched such as the Carina, Publica Starlet and Light Ace. In the 1970s, two new cars were launched which were the Corona and Mlk. The Corolla on its part was gaining extreme popularity with the buyers and clinching in more sales than ever before. The 19802 saw the return of the newer models such as the 4Runner SUV and MR2 sports car.
The icing on the cake for the Toyota company was the introduction of the Toyota Camry sedan. When it had been launched in Japan by another name it had been a great hit and this is exactly what happened to it in the US.
By the end of a decade, Toyota had already gone ahead and manufactured hundreds of cars. Each of these cars were different and had the right kind of cutting edge to them based on the technology and the most advanced of features used on it.
