Mazda
This car, the Mazda has a long and illustrious history. It is known to be the car that is made by the Japanese automotive manufacturer in Hiroshima in Japan.
The latest sales of the Mazda car have been in millions of vehicles as it has gained in global sales. These Mazda cars are either made in the Japanese manufacturing units or hubs that are located all over the globe.
The name of the car is derived from a Persian God called Ahura Mazda as well as from the founder of the car whose name was Jujiro Matsuda. The way the car manufacturing started was in the year 1920 as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Company. The first things that were manufactured by the company were machine tools and later on moved to vehicles. The first car called the Mazda Go was launched in the year 1931, the Mazda R360 in the year 1960 and the Mazda Carol in the year 1962. The Mazda cars have got a V6 or V8 engine. The name Mazda was finally adopted by the company in the year 1984. The first four wheel car that was manufactured by the company was called Mazda R360.
The years in the 1960s were really good for the car manufacturer as they established its supremacy as the car manufacturer with the 16 horsepower keicar. The Mazda Cosmo was introduced in the US market in the year 1965.
The best years for the car manufacturer were in the 1970s when they saw one achievement after another. They were the leaders in the realm of car manufacturing at that point of time. The Wankel engine that was fitted in the car was the star performer and got the Mazda cars to outperform better than the other cars in the same realm. The cars manufactured during this time was the RX7, the large Luce sedan, the Mazda Chantez Keicar were all great out sellers in the market.
But, the late 1970s began to see the financial trouble that was going to haunt it for a while. Then ford took over 25% stakes in the company. Then came the RX which had a sturdy and durable look to it along with the most rugged of features to it. This was liked and much appreciated by the buyers and therefore the sales increased but this impact was not seen until in the years of 1980s.
In the years of 1980s the Mazda brand moved out of only being a Japanese player to a global one. The 323 GLC and the 626s were a great success with the buyers. The most successful car from the Mazda manufacturer has been the Miata. It continues to be a best seller even to this very day.
The other cars made from Mazda are the CX-9, CX-7, Mazda 6, Mazda 3 which is a four door car, the MX-Miata, Mazda 3 which is a five door car and Mazda speed 3. All of these cars are all top notch cars.
