The founder, Henry Ford was 40 y ears old when he founded the factory and made the first two models which were the Ford Model A. the Model S was the very first model that was made with a right-hand driven steering wheel. The Ford brand is associated with the oval trademark logo which comes from being introduced in the year 1907. And it was put on the first model A in the year 1928.
One of the best selling models from this manufacturer is the Ford Taurus. It comes to the buyer with a long life span of 21 years. It has sold more than 7 million units of cars. In the entire history of the manufacturer this has been one of the most successful of cars earning them hordes of money. The Ford company has had a very checkered career graph battling the Depression years, the World Wars and all of that. However, in the year 2007, it recorded a loss of 112.7 billion. This is when it started selling off to its competitors. In the year 2007 it sold its Aston Martin to a British company and in the year 2008 it sold the Jaguar and Land Rover to Tata Motors. The company has taken great steps to help the planet remain green and make their cars more eco friendly so that we leave less of our carbon footprints on the earth.
Anywhere in the globe the Ford oval symbol that stands for its trademark is not only recognized but is synonymous with top end quality and reliability. In the year 1970 Henry Ford retired and handed over the reigns of the company to his successor Phillip Caldwell.
