Fiat
Fiat is an Italian car and it began operations almost a hundred years ago. In the bygone era a Fiat was a car that was the social symbol and a most wanted for brand. This was the brand that was synonymous with the most distinguished personalities and celebrities being seen in it. Fiat started operations in the year 18909 at the Palazzo Bircherasio in Italy. The board of directors at that point of time consisted of Giovanni Agnelli who was a man of great vision and wanted to see that the investors in the company got to gain a whole lot out of making the Fiat a grand success.
This was the time that the very first Fiat factory was opened and the Fiat car went on to win races. As it gained in immense popularity due to this specific feature of it they decided to expand and it was taken outside Italy and the production units renovated. That is the birth of the Lingotto factory. During the difficult times of 1926 to 1938, the Fiat car fell back on the domestic market to keep its profits robust and to leverage its march ahead it went on to adopt several new features for the car. During the World Was there was a drastic reduction in the sales of the car and therefore, production suffered. After the war there was a shuffle in the management and the recovery process started.
The year 1953 saw the first diesel cars from Fiat being launched. This was the beginning of a new era kind of for Fiat and there were plenty of new models launched with the diesel engine. Then, during the 1960s the Fiat economic boom continued and it had a great impact on the fortunes of the company. There were several more people opting for the fiat as their chosen model. Also, numerous new factories were set up by the car manufacturer in Italy. That was also the time of social unrest in its factories.
Then there was the launch of a new system in 1978 called the Robogate system. This brought about a fully mechanized assembling of the bodywork in the Fiat factory. This was one of the most wonderful and innovative of times for the Fiat and they were able to make great automation production. There were several new features that came about along with the new cars such as the Fiat Panda, Fiat Uno, Fiat Tipo.
The new age Fiat is one of the most environmentally friendly brands in Europe. The other Fiat brands are the Fiat Punto, Fiat Linea, Fiat 500. This is the company that is managed by the Fiat Auto which is based out of Italy. The slogan for the Fiat car says that it has been building cars for more than a century and that is rightly so. It has several cars under its manufacture and along with it several different prototypes as well. There are so many extensive range of models manufactured by them.
