Dacia
Dacia is a car that comes to the buyer from a Romanian manufacturer. This car the Dacia is not named after the person who started manufacturing it but after the region in Romania that it comes from.
The Dacia car is actually a subsidiary of the famous French manufacturer Renault and exports the car. The first of these cars were started in the year 1966 and built in 1969. The basic design for the car came from Renault and it was called the Dacia1100. These cars were produced from 1968 to 1972. Within that period, as many as 44,000 of them, were rolled out from the manufacturing unit!
After the Dacia 1100 there were several other cars manufactured over the years such as the Dacia1100S, Dacia 1300, Dacia1310, Dacia Nova and Dacia SuperNova. Many of these cars are considered to be great vintage cars now.
Then in the year 2003 the Dacia SuperNova was replaced by the Dacia Solenza which had additional features to it. It had a completely refurbished new interior to it and an option of airbags. After this the next model that was in the market was Dacia Logan which was made for the demands seen in the Western European market.
The logan has been the most popular model so far from Dacia maker. Based on the designs that were incorporated in the Logan after the feedback that was received from the customers, Logan went on to become the top selling car in Central and Eastern Europe. It was given a 3 out of 5 star for its safety features. Then a diesel version to this popular car the Logan was launched in the year 2005. Most people prefer this car over the others in the market as it is cheap considered to be the way the other cars of the same size are priced.
The latest addition to the Dacia fleet was the Logan Hatchback called Sandero. This was launched in the year 2008 in the Geneva Motor Show. This is a five door hatchback car.
Then, in the year 2009 Duster from Dacia was launched. This is supposed to be the most modern of cars and is a crossover from an SUV. This car too was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and was received well. This car the Dacia Duster is available in the European market from 2010.
The top selling models from the Dacia car manufacturer have been Dacia Gamma, Dacia Solenza, Dacia Logan and Dacia Sandero. All of these have been well received by audiences and made profits for the manufacturer.
