Chrysler was first manufactured in the year 1925 by Walter P, Chrysler. He was a renowned machinist and became popular in being able to work well in the field of engineering. In the year 1028 the company bought over Dodge and that was the starting of the DeSoto and Plymouth divisions.
The way forward for this car in the 1930s was the Airflow and the aerodynamics that it used in its designs. This was seen in the swooping lines and the grille. However, Chrysler was able to get by the depression and the hard times because the Dodge was selling really well. People loved the low price and the conventional designs that it offered them.

The V8 engine that was introduced in the year 1950 had many a taker for it. This was the kind of engine that was found in the Cadillac that was the competitor for Chrysler and this put both of the car makers in a neck to neck race with the use of the right horse power.
In the 1970s Chrysler underwent a grave period and had to take a loan from the government for $1.5 billion to bail it out. The new marketing campaign, along with the K-series of cars brought Chrysler back into the running. After several mergers with Daimler and the selling of it today Chrysler finds itself a place to reckon with in the mid-car segments.
